The Social Conservatory is a pilot program launched in February the 20th, 2012.
This program is hosted by tree spaces in Athens (at Vouliagmeni, Thissio & Hymettus) and will run at a pilot level until June 2012.
During this session, someone can learn:
• Musical instruments such as classical guitar, electric guitar, piano, cello and classical flute trumpet, violin, clarinet, jazz piano, oboe, voice, drums (modern drums), lute, bouzouki, electric bass, music technology, music prep, traditional singing, accordion.
• Theoretical core courses (theory, solfeggio, harmony, morphology, music, music history, chamber music, choir, treble Vista)
• Music technology (to be delivered shortly after the beginning of the course)
The Social Conservatory seeks to provide an opportunity for those with the fewest resources and greatest need, to create an outlet through music, through the sad period people is going through, to raise the spirit, culture and knowledge.
As in all Social Programs (Social Grocery- Pharmacy) people working for it, in this case, music teachers, are all volunteers.
However, for program volunteers are not enough, since music equipment is needed. In poarticular, people could always lend or give some of the following musical intruments & other material:
a) Musical instruments (for teaching and study of our students)
In detail: guitars (classical, acoustic or electric), accordion, flute, percussion musical instruments orff, sticks for drums, cymbals, oboes, straws and tools for raw materials (straws, wire, threads and knives) or any other instrument you want to our offer, trumpet, cello, drum kit.
b)Stationery and teaching material (tables pentagram, musical notebooks, markers, chalk, etc.)
c) Metronomes, music stands, sheet music, photocopier, full-length mirror, tuners, tuning forks.
