Walt Disney Company, announces proposing employment to at least 1,000 veterans soldiers after their return from the front over the next three years.
Disney is also going to fund non-profit organizations that offer training or other services to former soldiers in the context of their program "Heroes are working here".
The announcement of this program comes at on the right time, as many veteran soldiers prepare to return to the U.S., especially after the withdrawal of forces in Afghanistan.
"As a new generation of men and women soldiers is preparing to return to political life, we strengthen our support and our commitment to the heroes of the new times," said Bob Aigker, president of Disney.
Disney will propose "at least 1,000 jobs and career opportunities" to former soldiers. These job openings will be dispersed to all branches of the company, such TV networks, productions, the studios and theme parks, "identifies the Aigker.
The company will also launch a national awareness campaign to encourage U.S. companies to follow Disney’s example.
