Traces of an unfinished painting by Leonardo da Vinci researchers believe to gave discovered in Florence.
Traces were - found using micro camera, which passed the experts through a mural by Giorgio Vasari in a hall of Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of city hall in Florence-, are the same kind as paint traces used for Gioconda.
Professor of Art History Seratsini Maurizio, who teaches at the University of San Diego, California said: "These figures are very encouraging. Although we are in the preliminary stages of investigation and there is still much work to do to solve this mystery; our data show that we are looking in the right direction. Experts however note that discovery did not give a "definitive" answer and those chemical analyses need to be done.
