ENVIRONMENT - Giant Water Lily!

The largest water lilies in the world, are located in the shallow waters of the Amazon!

The impressively huge plants have leaves with a diameter up to 3 meters (9.84 feet) and can lift  up to 31.82Kg. (70 pounds)!

Typical natural environment of the giant lily, called Victoria, is the quiet black lakes, undisturbed by currents. The lilies are often germinated in ponds surrounded by impenetrable barbed palm forests.

Victoria grows in warm water in rivers and lakes along the Amazon river basin in South America and was named after Queen Victoria of Britain, when first discovered by explorer Robert Schomburgk in 1836.
