SCIENCE- 2nd European Position for Space Satellite Project by Greek Students!

Students of the 3rd High School of Mytilene (Greece) won the second place in the European Space Contest «CanSat», held in Norway. The mission of Mytilene, was the only Greek participation in all school teams from 14 European countries. The first place took the team of Scotland, while the third, the team of Portugal.

The satellite named  «Icaromenippus 3D», created by Greek students, managed to 'fly' one kilometer above Earth's ground  and reflect the shots taken three-dimensionally. The "journey" of «Icaromenippus 3D» took place in the snowy area Ante, at the northernmost part of Norway, the Arctic circle.

The team was accompanied by the Professor George Kontellis and the school director Michael Kapiotas. The school mission to Norway was funded by theCity of Lesbos.
