Panagiotis
Lolas, a high school student from Trikala (Greece), won the gold medal
at the 29th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Antalya (Turkey).

This event held from April 26 to May 2, hosted the best mathematics students of Southeastern Europe. In particular, the countries participated were: Romania, Serbia,
Bulgaria, Turkey, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, Cyprus,
Albania, Skopje and Greece.
The Balkan Mathematical Olympiads is an international institution, of highest interest, as national teams out of competition participate in the Olympiad. This year guest participant countirdw were England, France, Italy, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia.
Competed with older than him participants, Panagiotis overcame every obstacle in his way and madde it to the top.
What's next: the 53rd International Mathematical
Olympiad to be held in Mar del Plata, Argentina in July, 4th-16th.
