INNOVATION - Greek Beer Receives the 1st Place in 'Sial D’Or Awards', Paris

A 100% Greek in origin and production beer was awarded with the 1^st prize during the global “Sial D’Or” competition, which took place last October, 21^st, in Paris.

“Sial D’Or” is a global event for innovation in food and beverage industry worldwide, held every two years. During this competition 29 countries participated.

Among the participated countries, Greece took the 1st place with VIOS 5 beer.

VIOS 5 is a global innovation designed and produced entirely in Greece by the Athenian Brewery. It was presented in the Greek market in 2011.

 

It is the first beer in the world produced by the combination of five cereals (barley, wheat, rye, corn and rice), essential for healthy eating, all derived from the Greek land.

Each of these ingredients  give VIOS 5 and a different flavour in its taste; wheat for sweetness, bitterness from rye, corn’s lightness, rice and refined taste of course barley is the main ingredient - all combined make VIOS 5 an enjoyable beer with mellow flavor.
