COMMUNITY - Greece: Beach for People with Mobility Problems

Municipality of Malevizi in Crete, gave a beach in use, provided with special facilities for disabled people in Lygaria Gulf.

Facilities include hanging rooms with special requirements for disabled people, hallway leading to the sea and of course, the specialized floating trolley. 

Project accomplished and inagurated.

By using these facilities for people with mobility problems can enjoy swimming, as well as perform specialized physiotherapy.

Demonstration

However, this is not the first beach in Crete, since last summer same equipment was installed on the beach of  Amoudara.

Both beaches have particular signs, so that visitors can be informed in order to easily reach them and use their facilities.
